Tooth extraction is sometimes necessary although we will try our best to save the tooth, it is not always possible.
Extraction may be carried out for the following reasons;
If the tooth is damaged or broken beyond repair.
Periodontal disease has damaged the bone causing the tooth to become loose.
Impacted wisdom teeth which are causing recurring pain and problems.
Extraction may also be recommended by an orthodontist to ease overcrowding of the teeth.
Extractions are simple and usually straight forward. In some cases we may refer you to the hospital for extractions if we feel this would be in your interest.
